For the record I had considered this approach but I thought it would violate a dependency rule (AKA don't make people install shit they don't need) but I've since long retracted that opinion from the EN Patch because of additional features the other bat files including the almost-malware behavior of dropping a VBS script on the startup folder :) |

This shell script should only run if the user has Git. If it does run, it simply forces a pull to ensure proper behavior.
