This project uses the National Transportation Safety Board's aircraft incident dataset to identify factors that contribute to small airplane accidents, identify hotspots where accidents occur and calculate an accident severity index rating for each U.S. airport. The findings are displayed in an interactive shiny web application.

NTSB Aircraft Accident Analysis

This repo contains my capstone group project for my Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics. The objective of this project was to use the National Transportation Safety Board's aircraft incident dataset to identify factors that contribute to small airplane accidents, identify hotspots where accidents occur, and calculate an accident severity index rating for each U.S. airport. Our final product is a shiny web app that displays our findings.
