Hi 👋🏻

For people who don't know about the project, and who'll tell "why this is 2.0 already ?", this is just the updated version of this project

The changelogs of the project will be reference to this changelog, feel free to reach it.

So, let's go !

New design.

The website is now in Svelte, bye bye vanilla Typescript. and the document.querySelector., The code is so much nicer and optimized, even if I've still work todo to be fully optimised. this is a progress to the success ! (or not.)

Shiny, nature and more !

Now, you will have a chance of 690 to be a ✨ SHINY ! ✨
But, also, you can now RENAME your pokemon of the day ! Just click on the pokemon name (the big one) and voila.
But but but, NATURES is up too ! (Wanna be a timid mewtwo ?)

And, did you know too than you can now check the pokedex ?

So much CLEAN... but at a cost.

Yeah... Only normal pokemon (for now at least) you can be. No mega evolutions, alternate forms, dynamax or whatever, just... classics. (from 1G up to the 8G with DLCs Pokemon, that's not nothing after all !)

And now, the changelogs !

  • CHANGE Rebuild the entire website from scratch using svelte.

  • CHANGE / BUGFIX Add a limit to the randomizer for selecting a pokemon. (897) - This prevent any image or name issues.

  • CHANGE Use now the pokenode-ts dependancie.

  • CHANGE Pokemons pictures are now selfhosted on the repo. !!! Pokémon artworks are trademarks of Nintendo. !!!

  • CHANGE Types will now be displayed at text instead of a simple background color.

  • IMPROVEMENT Better code optimizations.

  • IMPROVEMENT Data fetched in the PokeAPI will be now stored inside the localStorage data instead of recalling the API after each refresh.

  • NEW Add a shiny rate of 1/690. (Users can now be shiny)

  • NEW Add a random nature picker.

  • NEW Add the pokedex.

  • NEW Add a copiright notice about trademarks.

  • NEW Users can now edit the Pokemon of the day surname.

  • REMOVE The share on twitter link no longer exist, It will be replaced in a futur update.

  • REMOVE Remove some text to be much cleaner.

  • GITHUB The repository was recreated to dissociate the v1 and the v2.

  • LEGACY Project licence are now created.
