Dear Team,

I would like to share a situation to be updated regarding the information in the template on the map, where we need to insert a sentence on the map about the regions related to the information, such as , for example :
(Model Judgment: According to resolution xxxx the regions x, y z are independent and do not form part of the main territory Serbia)

In the U-Report application does not suport to add any information about on the map.

We're certainly open to some sort of map annotation strategy for this. It'd be helpful to see a mockup of what you plan to add and how you see it working first before getting too far along though.

Dear erick,

Thanks for you reply: Here is a simple and humble mockup of that would be expected:

Ureport Serbia Mockup

This particular scenario would be in place to attend a resolution valid in Serbia, however I believe an "Additional note" field in this area would be helpful not only to Serbia but all countries with their district particularities.

Let us know what you think.

Hi Matheus, we recently started a discussion with UNICEF regarding the prospect of them managing boundary data for U-Report and other projects. It seems to us that ideally they'd produce the boundary data with the names that country offices want to use and including disclaimers like this would be part of that data. We'll bring that up again with them and bring their attention to this thread.

@rowanseymour Thanks for your prompt response. We've been discussing this issue with Juan Arguillo from Unicef. He believes this disclaimer field could be beneficial for several countries and projects. Is there a timelime for these discussions with Unicef or a possible ETA for implementation?

Ultimately, we would love to see UNICEF managing boundary data at a global level. However that is a much larger goal and I think we will want to take action on this before that is achieved (if it ever is).

We chatted a bit about this on our call this morning. This feels like it belongs in RapidPro proper. It is akin to configuring aliases for osm ids. I think modeling n annotations for a boundary and modeled as a relation to osm id feels the most right. U-Report would then need to pull that data over when it updates it's boundary data. As for how it is presented to the user, that probably needs to be a bit nicer, but first step is getting annotations for boundaries in RapidPro.
