Type

Crash to desktop

Bug description

When I switched monitors, the game never managed to make it past launch EXCEPT for a few times.
I have restarted my computer, updated drivers, reinstalled osu!lazer, but nothing seems to resolve the issue.

Screenshots or videos

Version

I think this is the latest version because it said Updating when I first launched it today, and a version number that I can't clearly remember.

Logs

found these at "%appdata%\osu\logs", and new ones appeared for when I tried to launch the game again, so here they are I guess.

logs maybe.zip

if these aren't the right ones, or there are others I need to attach, lmk

Does deleting/renaming framework.ini work? Seems like it got in a bad state when you changed monitors. Probably upload it here for reference.

This seemed to fix it! I still think that it should have some sort of self-repair to correct for this, especially after crashing 10+ times, but I guess that isn't up to me.

Changes between old framework and new framework:

OLD:
FrameSync = Unlimited
WindowMode = Borderless
Renderer = OpenGL
NEW:
FrameSync = Limit2x
WindowMode = Fullscreen
Renderer = Automatic

@Joehuu mind telling me where you got that "delete framework.ini" thing from?

The logs look like they've been cut short, as in something outside of the game killed it. Please check windows event viewer for related errors.

It's just some general quick workaround related to multi-screen setup and non-default renderer crashes users are experiencing. Ref: #19877 (comment), #28135, etc.

But yeah, knowing the error in event viewer would help in identifying the actual problem.
