It appears that reports of Cabinet Office employing a cat called Cromwell were incorrect.

The policy questions this raises are being discussed in issue 22. This issue is to discover what happened to Cromwell, various things come to mind:

he never existed in the first place
he was a dog
he is resentful at being usurped by other cats
he is happy in the suburbs with a large garden where he is free from the terrors of Larry and Palmerston
he has been catnapped
he was offered a promotion to keep him in his previous job
he failed to pass national security vetting
